Permits Filed for Construction Project at Caribbean Beach Resort

Barbados Village

Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort is reportedly getting primed for a major renovation project.

Permits have been filed with the South Florida Water Management District for work at Caribbean Beach Resort. The permits show that a multi-level building is to be constructed in the current location of the Barbados Village.

There have been rumors swirling recently that a Disney Vacation Club (DVC) resort will be added to Caribbean Beach, so could this be what is happening? There’s no official word yet from Disney with regard to the construction or what the project might be.

The permit also includes six smaller buildings and a realignment of Cherlonia Parkway.

Based on the permits we can say with some certainty that a several new structures are going to be built at CBR. But we can’t say for sure if this means that DVC is coming to the resort. We’ll wait for official word from Disney on that.

Will this upcoming construction project change your plans at CBR? What do you think about the possibility of DVC? Let us know in the comments.
